My career path has taken me from NASA, to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, to being a stay-at-home mom.  In each of these opportunities, I had to be quick to learn and always be ready to problem-solve.  As your Metro Council person, I will be here to listen to your needs and concerns while working to ensure that Nashville grows in a way to build a better city for the future of our families.

Nashville has a long and rich history. We are growing fast and need to be aware of the current needs of the population while honoring the past of our community. If we can hold to a strong town concept, expanding transportation and creating affordable housing while working together with the residents of our established neighborhoods Nashville will continue to be the It city for years to come.

As Nashville has expanded we have also just begun to utilize technology that will make our city more efficient and livable for all of our residents and visitors. If we can expand these efforts we will be able to create a safer environment, more accurate data collection for everything from power outages to trash collection and traffic slowdowns. Using the ingrained creativity of our population Nashville is poised to be an innovator in this sector.

Nashville is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. With this growth, we have not properly funded the staffing needed for our community. On July 6 a new Fire Station was approved to be built, but the fire department is currently understaffed. as is our police force. We need to fund, recruit, and support our first responders.

I bring a down-to-earth approach to finding the best solutions to our city's growth challenges.
